Student co-host of Tales of Rock
What’s the name of your show? Tales of Rock
What’s your show about and when does it air? Tales of Rock is an uninterrupted hour of Rock and Roll, anything from Country Rock to Punk Rock goes. It airs Monday evenings from 5-6 EST.
Is there a story behind your on-air name? It’s a play on the name of my show, as bards are the ones who tell tales.
How long has your show been on the air? It’s been on since Fall 2016.
Have you gotten any strange requests during your show? To never spell out ABBA like an acronym again.
What do you like to do in your spare time? Cars, archery and the outdoors. I also watch an unhealthy amount of anime, but don’t tell anyone.
Tell us about a funny incident that happened during your show. Once my co-host, Smooth Cha Cha, made a pun so bad I had to electronically censor my reaction.
If you knew you were going to be stranded on a desert island, what are 10 of the songs you’d want with you?
- Take it Easy by the Eagles,
- Tunnel of Love by Dire Straits,
- Hot by Smash Mouth,
- Down Under by Men at Work,
- I Wanna Rock by Twisted Sister
- Let There Be Rock by AC/DC
- Let’s Get Rocked by Def Leppard
- Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet
- Paradise City by Guns n Roses
- Surfin’ USA by the Beach Boys
What is one of your most memorable concert experiences? It’d have to be a Beatles cover concert where a gentleman in the front row wearing a suit was rocking out like it was 1965 again
Tell us something about yourself that people might find surprising. Despite really liking cars, I have terrible luck with them and every car I’ve owned has had grisly mechanical problems.
In the movie “WKUF: The Untold Story”, who would you cast as yourself? James Franco, I feel he’d do me pretty well.
