Kettering Students Return to the Airwaves for Spring 2017

Kettering students are returning to the airwaves for the spring 2017 term. Below is info on these shows, which start the week of April 2nd. I hope you'll give these shows a listen!

Tuesday:

Show/Time:  E.V.M., 6 pm-7 pm
Host:  DJVamps (not pictured)
Format:  EDM

Show/Time:  R.P.M., 7 pm-8 pm
Host:  BWB (right in the photo montage)
Format:  A wide variety of rock (R), punk (P), and metal (M).

Wednesday:

Show/Time:  Hard Transitions (a brand new show), 4 pm-5 pm
Host:  
That Guy (center in the photo montage) and BWB (right in the photo montage)
Format: Variety

Show/Time:  Sportin' It, 7 pm-9 pm 
Hosts:  lil_DJ & Em 'n' Em (top center in the photo montage)
Format:  Sports talk, news, and music

Thursday:

Show/Time:  Keep Calm and Rock On, 3:30 pm-5:30 pm 
Host:  DJ Drakon (bottom center in the photo montage)
Format: Rock, new metal, electronic and dubstep

Show/time: Shaking Up the Farm, 6 pm-8 pm 
Hosts: DJ Southern Belle (left in the photo montage) and That Guy (center in the photo montage)
Format: Rock (along with some of its sub-genres) and country

 

Student Shows Returning to WKUF for the Winter 2017 Term

For the winter 2017 term we have student shows returning to the WKUF lineup, which you'll find listed below.  I hope you'll give these shows a listen!

Sunday:

Show/Time: The Lounge, 5 pm-6 pm
Host: Afterburner (pictured above, bottom left)
Format: Music from the pop, rock, and techno genres. 

Note: This will be Afterburner's final term on WKUF

Monday:

Show/Time: Tales of Rock 6 pm-7 pm 
Hosts: Smooth Cha-Cha
Format: Rock, along with some blues and jazz

Show/Time: Society Probs, 9 pm-10 pm 
Hosts: MoeTheBro & White Shorts (pictured above, top center)
Format: Talk (issues related to Kettering University and those that are local/national/international) along with a few tunes sprinkled in throughout the hour.

Tuesday:

Show/time: Chelsea's Live Line, 4:30 pm-5:30 pm
Host: Chelsea, aka "DJ CC(pictured above, bottom right)
Format: Hip-hop, R&B and talk

Wednesday:

Show/Time: Metal Mosh-Pit Madness, 10:30 am-11:30 am (debuts 1/18/17)
Host: Maverick and Eric
Format: Various genres of metal

Show/Time: Up in Smoke, 4 pm-5 pm 
Host: Puff (pictured above, top right)
Format: Reggae, ska, and hip-hop

Thursday:

Show/time: The Facts Machine, 1 pm-3 pm 
Host: Zed 
Format: Rock and electronic music with more modern selections and of course, facts.

Show/Time: Pop the Bubble, 7 pm-8 pm (debuts 1/19/17)

Format: Music and comedy

Friday:

Show/Time: Electric Vibe, 2 pm-3 pm

Format: Alternative, pop and EDM.

Format: Having fun with a variety of musical genres and featuring tunes you've probably never heard before!

For the fall 2016 term we have some student-hosted shows returning to the WKUF lineup, which you'll find listed below. All shows start the week of October 3rd; I hope you'll give them a listen!

Format: Political talk as well as music (country and classical)

Show/Time: Mixed Reviews, 10 pm-midnight 
Hosts: Hiro and Vael
Format: EDM and international music (particularly, Japanese pop/rock)
