DJ Drakon Joins That Guy & DJ BWB for Hard Transitions

On 12/7/17, DJ Drakon (formerly the host of Keep Calm & Rock On) joined That Guy and DJ BWB in the studio for their final broadcast of Hard Transitions (they'll both be back in the spring with separate shows). Sadly, this was DJ Drakon's final time on air as an undergrad student at Kettering University. He may return to WKUF at some point, but that's still up in the air. Whether this was DJ Drakon's final broadcast or if he's able to return, we at WKUF wish him all the best.

Farewell to Alexandria Kesek

After plenty of music and laughs, Alexandria "Alex" Kesek bids WKUF and Kettering University farewell. Alex joined WKUF in 2013 and has done quite a bit both behind the mic and behind the scenes. This includes (but isn't limited to the following):

  • Former co-host (under the name "DJ Paradise") of To Be Decided
  • PR Director
  • The voice of The Good Beans Cafe spot that airs on WKUF
  • Co-host of our 50th anniversary tribute to Sgt. Pepper, which aired 6-1-17 thru 6-4-17
  • Member of the Music Sub-Committee
  • Contributed to the creation of Rewind (our weekly 2 hour block of music from the 90s and 2000s), which debuted on 3-3-17
  • Occasionally did some on-air appearances in 2017 under the name "Quesadilla Holder" (don't ask)

She also introduced me to such artists as Marina & the Diamonds and Ellie Goulding!

I'd like to take a moment to thank Alex for the hours of entertainment she has provided on the air and the hard work she put in behind the scenes at WKUF. She will be missed.
